Garment processes are broadly divided into four main categories.
Screen printing, digital printing, embroidery, and diamond stamping
A complete list of processes and their advantages and disadvantages
1. Water paste printing
-Advantages: 1> soft handfeel, colour paste penetration into the fabric fiber.
2>Firmness is higher than offset printing
-Downside: 1>Can’t print on dark fabrics.
2> only suitable for not many colours and simple patterns.
3> overly complex patterns cannot be printed.
4> not strong in coverage and colours are not vivid.
5> the more colours, the higher the cost of plate making.
2. Gum paste printing
-Advantages: 1>Wide application, bright colours, high reproduction
2> affordable, strong coverage, no fabric colour restrictions
-Downside: 1>Gum feeling, breathability is not good, over time, easy to crack
2>Large flower bits of solid colour should not take this printing method
3>Hot day easy to sticky sticky
3. Thick plate printing
-Advantages: can achieve a very neat and three-dimensional effect
-Downside: 1>Higher cost, patterns generally use numbers
2>Letters, geometric patterns, lines should not be too young
4. Stone paste printing
-Advantages: can achieve a very neat and three-dimensional effect
-Downside: high cost
5. Foam pulp printing
-Advantages: good three-dimensionality, a bit soft and fluffy
-Downside: after many wears and washes, the three-dimensional effect will slowly disappear and flatten out
6. Drip paste printing
-Advantages: more three-dimensional than thick board
-Downside: easy to break off if you use a lot of force
Note: Generally used to make drip stamps, mostly on men’s clothing
When used on women’s clothing, it is used to create a floral shape
7. Gold and silver stamping
-Advantages: high quality and shiny
-Disadvantages: the quality of foil is unstable and the price of imported foil is not conducive to small batch production. The water resistance is not good.
8. hot gold grain hot silver grain
-Advantages: glitter can be added to other processes than silicone
-Downside: easy to fall off
9. silicone printing
-Advantages: three-dimensional soft, sticky, non-sticky, strong colour fastness
-Downside: more expensive than gum paste printing
10. Reflective printing
-Advantages: strong eye-catching effect under the light effect
Note: Used on highway signs, special uniforms, and in trendy brands
11. Embossing
-Advantages: directly on the garment there is a bumpy shape
-Downside: not very breathable, slightly expensive, possibility of peeling
12. Ink printing
-Advantages: clear pattern, bright colours, soft handfeel
-Downside: higher cost, fabric restrictions, fabric to be relatively loose and thin, more suitable for windbreaker, nylon, leather, plastic, down fabrics, etc.
13. Digital direct spraying
-Advantages: no need to make plates, not limited by the number of colours
-Downside: high price
14. Transfer printing
-Advantages: after printing, the fabric is soft to the touch, bright colours, rich layers and good breathability.
-Downside: there are fabric restrictions
Both principles.
Digital direct spraying: through the computer equipment set to print the pattern, directly by the machine spray painting completed
Transfer printing: the pattern is first printed on some kind of media, and then heated and printed on the clothes when it needs to be printed on
Digital direct printing: generally printed on light-coloured cotton undershirts has the best effect, and can completely achieve the requirements of no hand feeling, no colour difference, and the cost is also the lowest. If the fabric is dark, it will also have a gelatinous feel.
Transfer printing: can only be printed on polyester fabrics, so the range of applications is limited;
Similarities between the two: both are suitable for patterns with more colours.
Both processes are not necessary for single colour patterns
15. Applique embroidery
-Advantages: good layering, with a sense of embossing
-Downside: higher cost, suitable for small areas of embellishment
16. Chain embroidery
-Advantages: complete pattern
-Downside: easy to break threads, more suitable for monogramming
17. Flat embroidery
A very common type of embroidery
18. Towel embroidery
-Advantages: good three-dimensionality, very good hand feel, some breathability
-Downside: more expensive
19. Carved hole embroidery
-Advantages: has a transparent character, strong layering and a strong sense of quality
-Downside: it is an openwork pattern and the pattern has position restrictions
20. Beadwork / Beadwork
-Advantages: easy to embroider
-Downside: if the thread is broken and the beads fall off over a large area
21. Flocked embroidery
-Advantages: complete pattern
-Downside: can fall off
22. Toothbrush embroidery
-Advantage: strong three-dimensional feeling
-Downside: the possibility of peeling off over time
23. three-dimensional embroidery
-Advantages: strong three-dimensional feeling
-Downside: not suitable for large areas as it is hard to the touch
24. Hollow three-dimensional embroidery
-Advantages: softer
-Downside: easy to hook
25. Hot stamping
-Advantages: novel and fashionable
-Downside: they tend to fall off over time and some materials are more expensive than others
Drills can be classified according to material, size and shape

Shapes: round, diamond, rectangle, square, etc.
Material: white, coloured, fancy, transparent, jelly, solid colour, colour change, cracked, etc.
